|Here is Sara on her first day of her junior year of college last week. Isn't she sweet to humor my picture taking when I know she would probably rather not? She is majoring in Literary Studies.|
It is hot as blazes here which is perfect for a little painting project on an old mirror that sits on my mantle. Every couple of years I get the urge to paint it so this time it is going from a pale gold to a turqoisey-blue. I also have a birthday dinner to prepare for, the request being for homemade pizza and ice cream cookie sandwiches. In the evenings I am catching up on the last season of Once Upon A Time (which is much darker than the first season and I am not sure I like it as much) and I am reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn along with my kids for their Lit class.
Oh, and I am watching tiny yellow birds that have showed up in the trees around here over the past week. I have no idea what they are (warblers?) but they are teensy, yellow and fast. They like flitting around in the foliage. And you know what kills me? No one here is as interested in them as I am. What is wrong with my family? Ha.
